Angora Highlands

Located just past the “Y” on the right hand side as you pass Sawmill Pond, Angora Highlands offers spectacular mountain and lake views.   Although this South Lake Tahoe neighborhood was devastated by the wildfire in 2007 it has bounced back with vigor. It is making up for this loss with many brand new custom homes and expanded views.   While part of this area was impacted by the fire is important to note that a large part of this neighborhood is outside of the burn area and still has the flourishing forest setting. The area features mixed bag of homes with many new large estates to charming modest homes built in the 1970’s.  All homes share the rich forest setting that abounds in the Angora Highlands area.  This neighborhood provides access to hiking, biking, and fishing as it is located near Angora Lakes, Fallen Leaf Lake and a vast amount of U.S. Forest Service land. There is little to no road traffic in this neighborhood, leaving it pristine and private for those who reside there. Values tend to be on the higher side as far as Tahoe homes go. This is due mainly to larger, newer construction and impressive views. This magnificent neighborhood will not disappoint!
